Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone!

Halloween is here. We're going to have a special Halloween celebration at school. As you may know, Halloween is mainly celebrated in the Anglosaxon countries. We've got a typical feast called "La Castanyada". Traditionally, this is a day when people eat toasted chesnuts (castanyes in Catalan) and panellets in the loving memory of the dead. Panellets are a kind of small cake or biscuit coated with pine nuts, almonds, coconut or dried fruit. Eating baked sweet potatoes is also quite common these days. On the 1st November, people in Catalonia go to the cemetery to bring flowers to their relatives' tombs. What do you do in Halloween?
